The first line up announcement for Blackthorn Music Festival features a range of fantastic local artists, following the ethos of the event which started in July 2013. After its resounding success, featuring bands such as The Celadors and BBC Introducing act Shauna Mackin, the festival plans to expand this year with exciting headline acts still to be revealed.The Ordinary, T.G. Elias, Rum Thief, Sandboy, Matt Hamer and many more make up the first wave of acts announced for this year’s Blackthorn Music Festival. The festival will take place 25th-27th July in Etherow Country Park, Greater Manchester with tickets starting at just £15.

Forever
Manchester is a local charity for people with a passion for the city. Putting
money back into local communities so people can be proud of where they live,
creating positive change and keeping ideas and projects alive that otherwise
wouldn’t exist.
The
founders of Blackthorn Music Festival started off wanting to put on live bands
at their farm for a party and it quickly escalated into a festival. Realising how this could benefit the local
community and music scene they decided to go even bigger for 2014.

“The music spans everything from indie, rock n roll and folk, featuring unsigned and signed talent. For Man music lovers, this festival is a must in the calendar, with a mixed audience of students and families, focusing on the 30-50 year olds market.
